April 5 – The Dawn of New Creation
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! Come, see
the place where He lay.”
Easter morning breaks the silence of Saturday with
astonishing news: He is not here. He has risen. The tomb that held death is
empty. The stone that sealed despair has been rolled away. Resurrection is not
merely a comforting idea—it is the decisive act of God declaring that sin,
death, and darkness do not have the final word. In the resurrection of Jesus, a
new creation has begun. Hope is no longer fragile. It is alive.
Pause and reflect on what the resurrection means for you
personally. Ask yourself: Where have I felt defeated or discouraged? What
fears have felt immovable, like a stone across a tomb? Do I truly live as
someone who believes that death does not win? How might resurrection reshape
the way I face disappointment, loss, or uncertainty? Easter is not only
about what happened to Jesus; it is about what is now possible for us. Because
Christ lives, transformation is real. Forgiveness is secure. Hope is grounded.
Today, practice living as a resurrection person. Begin the
day with gratitude, speaking aloud, “Christ is risen.” If you gather for
worship, sing with full voice and attentive heart. If you celebrate with family
or friends, let joy be genuine and generous. Consider reaching out to someone
who needs encouragement and share a word of hope. You might also take a walk outside
and notice signs of life—new growth, light, movement—and allow creation itself
to remind you that God brings life from what seems finished. The empty tomb is
not the end of the story; it is the beginning of a new way of living.
Loving Father, thank You for raising Jesus from the dead
and for the hope that flows from the empty tomb. Help me live as a person of
resurrection—anchored in joy, strengthened by courage, and shaped by love. Roll
away the stones in my own heart and awaken new life within me. All this I pray
in Jesus’ name. Amen.
