The Song of Moses and the Lamb
And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, beside which stood those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name. They were holding harps from God, 3and they sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb:
“Great and wonderful are Your works,
O Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are Your ways,
O King of the nations!
Who will not fear You, O Lord,
and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy.
All nations will come and worship before You,
for Your righteous acts have been revealed.”
— Revelation 15:2-4
In this vision of glory, the faithful stand victorious—those who endured suffering and resisted evil. They hold harps given by God Himself, and they sing a dual song: the song of Moses, the great deliverer of Israel, and the song of the Lamb, the Redeemer of the world. These two stories—one of rescue from Egypt, the other of redemption through the cross—are united in a single anthem of praise.
This is the culmination of the music of Scripture. The song is majestic and holy, declaring God’s power, justice, and worth. It is a song that acknowledges triumph not through human strength, but through faith and divine victory. Every note is steeped in awe: “Great and wonderful are Your works,” “Just and true are Your ways,” “You alone are holy.” It is the ultimate worship service, the eternal response of the redeemed.
You may reflect on how your music today echoes this final chorus. Have your songs been shaped by both deliverance and redemption—by the parting of seas and the breaking of bread, by the mercy that rescued you and the grace that sustains you? Can you sense that all your praise is leading toward this eternal gathering, where you will join others from every age and nation in lifting up the name of the Lord?
Today, let your heart rest in this promise: that the music will not end. Even now, you are part of a great unfolding song, one that began long ago and will continue forever. Whether your worship today feels triumphant or tender, strong or subdued, offer it as a foretaste of what is to come. Picture yourself standing with the saints, harp in hand, voice lifted, singing the song of Moses and the Lamb. All of heaven awaits that chorus—and your voice belongs in it.
Almighty and Holy God,
Great and wonderful are Your works, just and true are all Your ways. Thank You for the deliverance and redemption that have brought me into Your presence. Help me to live and sing each day as one preparing for that great and final song—the song of Moses and the Lamb. Let my worship now echo the awe and gratitude that will fill heaven’s courts, as I join the redeemed in declaring Your holiness and righteousness. Strengthen me to remain faithful, and fill my heart with hope as I look forward to the day I stand before You, harp in hand, my voice lifted in eternal praise.
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
