Baptism

One day, when all the people were being baptized, Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. But John tried to talk Him out of it, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and You come to me?"

Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness."

Then John agreed. As Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens suddenly opened, and John saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Jesus; And a voice from heaven said, "This is My beloved Son; with Him, I am well pleased."
