April 30 – Walking in Resurrection Hope
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
As this month draws to a close, we return to the foundation
of everything we have reflected upon: living hope through the resurrection of
Jesus Christ. Christian hope is not wishful thinking. It is not fragile
optimism dependent on circumstances. It is living hope—anchored in an empty
tomb and a risen Savior. Because Christ lives, our future is secure, our
present is purposeful, and our suffering is not the final word.
Pause and consider the nature of your hope. Ask yourself: Where
have I allowed discouragement to dim my vision? Do I anchor my expectations in
changing circumstances, or in Christ’s unchanging victory? How does
resurrection hope reshape the way I approach uncertainty, loss, or challenge?
Hope does not deny hardship, but it refuses despair. It remembers that God’s
redemptive work continues beyond what we can see.
Today, take a few moments to recount ways God has sustained
you this month. Write down one or two evidences of His faithfulness. If you are
facing difficulty, place it consciously into God’s hands and pray, “Lord,
renew my hope.” You might also encourage someone who is weary with a word
about Christ’s living hope. Notice how hope strengthens perseverance and quiets
fear. Resurrection hope is not a momentary emotion; it is a daily posture.
Loving Father, praise You for the living hope given
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. When discouragement rises, anchor my
heart in Your promises. Strengthen my faith, steady my steps, and renew my joy.
Help me walk forward each day with confidence in Your redeeming work. All this
I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
