July 21 — Seeking First the Kingdom
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33 Life presents many priorities. Responsibilities, needs, goals, and concerns all compete for attention. It is easy to feel pulled in multiple directions, trying to manage everything at once. In the midst of this, Jesus offers a simple but clarifying instruction: “Seek first the kingdom of God…” This is not about adding one more task to your list. It is about ordering your life around what matters most. To seek God’s kingdom is to place His ways, His presence, and His purposes at the center of your thoughts and decisions. Pause and reflect: What is coming first in my life right now? What receives your attention, your energy, and your focus? Are your priorities aligned with what God is inviting you into? “…and His righteousness…” This speaks to the way we live.
