July 22 — A Rhythm of Joy, Prayer, and Gratitude
Rejoice at all times. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 These words describe not just actions, but a way of living. Rejoice. Pray. Give thanks. They are simple, yet they reach into every part of life. Together, they form a rhythm—a steady posture of the heart that can be carried through both ordinary moments and difficult seasons. “Rejoice at all times.” This does not mean ignoring hardship or forcing happiness. It means recognizing that even in changing circumstances, there is a deeper reason for joy—God’s presence, His faithfulness, and His ongoing work. Pause and reflect: Where do I find joy right now?
