July 31 — Kept by God
Now to Him who is
able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless and joyful in His
glorious presence—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power, and
authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all time, and now, and for all
eternity. Amen.
As this month comes to a
close, you may find yourself looking back over the steps you have taken. Some
may have felt steady and intentional. Others may have felt uncertain or uneven.
There may have been moments of clarity, and others where you were simply doing
your best to continue forward. This passage brings everything into focus—not by
pointing to what you have accomplished, but by reminding you who is holding
you. “He is able to keep you from stumbling…” Your journey is not sustained by
your strength alone. God is actively at work—guarding, guiding, and holding
you, even in moments where you feel unsure or unsteady.
Pause and reflect: Where
have I felt uncertain or at risk of stumbling this month? Can you see how
God has been present—even in small ways—helping you continue? “…and to present
you blameless and joyful…” This points beyond the present moment. The work God
is doing in you is leading somewhere. It is not only about today’s steps, but
about a future where you stand fully restored in His presence. “…to the only
God our Savior be glory…” The focus returns to God. His power, His authority,
His faithfulness—these are the foundation of your hope. Your life is not held
together by your effort alone, but by His sustaining grace.
Today, as you close this
month, you might take a quiet moment to acknowledge God’s work. You might pray,
“Lord, thank You for keeping me.” You have been guided. You have been
sustained.
You have been held. And as you move forward, that does not change. The same God who has walked with you through each day of this month will continue to lead you into the next. You are not alone in this journey. You are kept.
Loving Father,
—
Jude 1:24-25
You have been held. And as you move forward, that does not change. The same God who has walked with you through each day of this month will continue to lead you into the next. You are not alone in this journey. You are kept.
Thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. You have guided me, sustained me, and held me through every step.
